In most cases it would be safer to replace your broken cook top. Once a heating element is exposed you should not use the stove top because the elements are electrically hot and they can cause a shock if anyone touches them when a metal skillet or pan happens to touch it. In addition, the weight of the skillet or pan could cause more glass cooktop breakage and create more of a safety hazard.

You can order a replacement glass cooktop by visiting to www.washerbearings.com/parts and entering your model number. Keep in mind the model numbers typically have zeros in them... not letter o's. On stand alone stove/oven combos the model/serial numbers can be located on the lower side frame after you pull out the lower drawer.
