Maytag FAV6800 One Way Clutch vs One Way Bearing video
Washer Tub Bearings - Here is a video that compares the one way clutch to the special one way bearing. Your FAV6800 washer will have one or the other. You can replace your bearings and tub seal when they start to get loud.
It was believed that you could go by the first two digits of your serial number to determine if you had the special bearing or one way clutch. However, experience tells me otherwise and that is why I created this video for you.
There are two kits for you to choose from depending on if you have the one way clutch or the one way bearing. Watch the video...
If you need other appliance parts you can visit www.washerbearings.com/parts to order replacement parts other than tub bearings and seal and enter your model and see what they can do for you.
Leave your comments below and share with your family and friends that may have clothes washers so they will be aware that they can replace their bearings and tub seal and save a ton of money!

MAH7500AWW Bearing and Tub Seal – How To Replace them and save money
MAH7500AWW Bearing and Tub Seal – How To Replace them and save money
If you own a MAH7500 and it sounds like a jet plane then it
is time to focus on your bearings and tub seal. If you bother a Maytag service
technician they will want at least $950 to repair your Neptune or even suggest
that you junk machine. You don’t really want to scrap machine because you can
save money by replacing your Neptune bearings and tub seal and be washing
clothes again. The reason they quote so much is because they will want to
replace the large outer tub which runs over $500 alone!
The 12002022 seal kit contains two seals. The earlier lip
seal and the revised lip seal. If you have the earlier lip seal (with plastic
white spacer clip) you will need to replace it with the new earlier lip seal in
the kit. If you would like to use the revised lip seal you will have to purchase
a new spinner support because its’ shaft is machined different. Here is a video I created for the 12002022 seal kit breakdown.
It should take about 1 – 5 hours depending on how much
cleaning you need to do while you’re in there and no special tools are
required. You could save time by renting the Tony Tool which pulls the rear
bearing out first. You then knock the front bearing out and then after some
clean up you use the Tony Tool to install the new bearings and spacer. The tool
kit rental includes an extra bearing spacer just in case you need it.
Depending on how long your machine has sounded like a jet
plane you may need to heat up the aluminum hub when extracting the inner or
front bearing. The aluminum has a higher expansion coefficient than the steel
bearing does so the bearing housing should expand more than the bearing does
thus loosening it up. Just don’t over heat it since some of the heat guns can
really get hot.
Another tip is to stabilize the outer tub by laying the
Neptune on its front and placing 2x4’s, old towels, newspaper stack under tub
to help keep it from bouncing around when you attempt to knock out the front
bearing. Now would also be a good time to spray penetrating oil on the inner
bearing since it is closer to horizontal. You can allow the oil to soak in
overnight. You will also want to place plywood or equivalent under tub to catch
the bearing when it is ejected out.
The good news is that you don’t have the faulty brown tipped
wax motor in your door latch. Only the timer knob based Neptune’s have the wax
motor which would fail and damage the Q6 triac and R11 and the upper control
board. The digital Neptune models all use a solenoid to lock the door. See Neptune Help Song for a video that explains what happens when the original brown tipped wax motor fails.
I hope this was helpful to you and you save money by
replacing your bearings and tub seal.

Whirlpool Duet Bearing – How To Replace
Whirlpool Duet Bearing – How To Replace
If your Whirlpool Duet front load washer sounds like a
freight train then it is time to derail your Duet and replace the tub seal and
bearings. The duet bearing replacement process is pretty straight forward and
no special tools are required. See Whirlpool Duet Bearing for the replacement
tub bearing and seal kits. Most appliance repair centers will tell you that you
have the replace the rear tub but that is just not the case…
The bearing Kits include an eBook that will give you tips on
bearing replacements as well as a link to a service manual you can download to
help as well. Tell all of your family and friends that you can replace the
Whirlpool Duet at www.duetbearing.com.
For more washer bearing and tub seal kits see www.washerbearings.com.

Kenmore Elite HE3 Bearing and Seal Kit – How To
Kenmore Elite HE3 Bearing and Seal Kit – How To
If you own a Kenmore Elite HE3 front load washer and it has
morphed into a jet plane… I have great news! You can replace your bearings and seal and
save! I would expect 3 hours for the repair depending on how much cleaning you
do while you have the Elite disassembled. You won’t need any special tools to
replace the tub seal and bearings. See Elite Bearing for the tub bearing and
seal kits. The Elite kit works on the HE3, HE3T, HE4, HE4T, HE5 and HE5T
models. If you have the HE2 model you will need this 8540347 bearing and Seal kit.
When you notice the washer getting louder usually in high
speed spin mode you will want to take action asap before the rust sets in the
bearings. Otherwise, you may have a bearing that hangs up and scores the
support bracket shaft. Whirlpool only offers the support brackets along with a
new stainless steel basket as an assembly which drives up the cost
considerably. If your support bracket shaft is damaged you can repair it by
taking it to a machine shop where they can install a sleeve or weld up the area
and machine it back down again for the new bearing.
I hope this was helpful.

Whirlpool Duet wfw9200sqa12 Bearing Kit – How To Replace
Whirlpool Duet wfw9200sqa12 Bearing Kit – How To
I have seen where some wfw9200sqa12 washers have been having
the bearing failure. You can replace your wfw9200sqa12 tub bearings and seal.
See www.washerbearings.com
In general, you have to dis assemble your wfw9200sqa12 to
the point where you remove the large tub assembly and then you split it and
then you can remove the inner stainless steel basket/support bracket assembly.
Take some digital photos along the way to help the reassembly process.
Once you have the rear tub all to itself, you can pry the
worn seal out and that should expose the front ( or inner) bearing. I use a
socket and extension to tap out the smaller rear bearing first. Note: Check for
a retainer clip (snap ring) on the rear bearing before you start tapping it.
After rear bearing is out I then turn the tub over and start tapping the front
bearing.
When tapping in new bearings keep the impacts on the outer
race of bearing because you can damage new bearing if you tap on the inner race
when installing it in a bearing housing. Reverse the process and reassemble
machine, test run and look for any leaks and notice the quietness J
