Maytag Neptune Bearing Seal Kit Install How-To

Hi Neptuner!

Here is a video I created when I was replacing Loretta's MAH4000 Maytag Neptune bearings and 12002022 seal kit. It shows the earlier lip seal installation. The 12002022 seal kit includes 2 seals so it will work on both spinner support setups. The thinner seal is the earlier seal and should be used if your machine had the white plastic spacer ("a" clip) between the front bearing and seal.

See Neptune Bearing for more information. I also offer the 12002533 door boot, 12002535 wax motor and the 12001788 belt at a discount when you rent the Neptune bearing tool kit.

MAH6700 Bearing and Seal Kit - Maytag Neptune

MAH6700 Bearing and Seal Kit - Maytag Neptune

Hi Neptuner!

Ok... I may be ahead of the curve here but I just added the MAH6700 bearing and seal kit to my Neptune Bearing order form. It will just be a matter of time before this model needs bearings and the seal replaced so you can save a ton of money by doing it yourself.

So when your Neptune MAH6700 sounds like a jet plane taking off when it enters spin cycle you should replace the bearings and seal as soon as you can so you don't cause excessive damage to the spinner support shaft.

5 fridays 5 saturdays and 5 sundays in one month

5 fridays 5 saturdays and 5 sundays in one month

Hi Neptuner,

This is an off topic post today...

I received an email saying that the month of July 2011 has '5 fridays 5 saturdays and 5 sundays' in it and that this only occurs every 823 years?

Let's break down the calendar shall we...

Let’s think about this, a year can only start on one of seven days, so there are seven possible basic calendar years. Add leap years, and there are fourteen basic calendars. Period. And one of those calendars only gets used every 823 years? How would that be possible? It’s not of course, all fourteen calendars get cycled through regularly, in fact 2010 used the exact same calendar as 1999.

So there you have it... Yes, there will be 5 fridays 5 saturdays and 5 sundays in July 2011...

If you have a Maytag Neptune front load washer you can keep it working through all 14 possible calendars with Neptune Help and Neptune Bearing.

Whether it is the pesky defective door latch wax motor or the bearings... we can help you save money and get that pile of laundry washed.

Maytag Neptune Front Loader Repair Tip

Maytag Neptune Front Loader Repair Tip:

Hi Neptuner!

I was looking through some photos of you repairing your Neptunes and I noticed that some of you were not wearing safety glasses!

Listen up, did you know that you can buy cool safety glasses for less than $10? They have come along way from the 'goggles'... Check out the "Safety Glasses" link below now and order you some cool safety glasses to have around the house so you don't have an excuse not to wear them.

Whether you are replacing your Neptune Bearings or the faulty door latch wax motor you need to wear cool safety glasses! I also highly recommend that you wear them when soldering on your control board as well...

Be safe... Remember you need your vision and you need to protect it!

Carbon-monoxide Poisoning Can Be Prevented...

Carbon-monoxide Poisoning Can Be Prevented...

I just heard on the news recently that another local family was poisoned by carbon-monoxide due to a faulty furnace and the outcome was tragic for one of the victims... This is terrible news!

Listen up... If you don't have a carbon-monoxide (CO) detector in your residence and you have appliances that burn fuel you need to invest in one now! CO is an orderless and tasteless gas so you cannot sense its presence.

Here are some home appliances that can burn fuel:

  • Gas Furnace
  • Gas Water Heater
  • Gas Range/Stove
  • Fireplace (gas log)
  • Portable Camping Lantern / Stove
  • Kerosene Heaters
  • Gas Generator
If you have all electric appliances but have an attached garage then I would still recommend a carbon-monoxide detector in case a car is left running in the garage. If you receive a monthly bill from the gas company then you have gas appliances!

Kidde, who manufacturers smoke detectors and carbon-monoxide detectors have combined the two into one exciting package, the KN-COSM-XTR-B Intelligent Alarm, Combination Carbon Monoxide, Fire and Smoke. This unit even has voice so it tells you “Fire! Fire!” or “Warning Carbon Monoxide.”!

Click on the picture below for more details and you can also check out the reviews. (4.5 stars)
